City Review: Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik bears the distinction of being the world’s northernmost capital, and for many Icelandic visitors it also serves as a gateway to the rugged adventure options beyond. Recharge after outdoor pursuits in one of the many geothermal springs or luxurious indoor spas. We appreciate Reykjavik’s open-minded and energetic culture that includes a hip and internationally recognized music and arts scene, great food and notoriously “enthusiastic” nightlife.

Summer in Atl = Patio Season

8 Patios for Sensational Summer Eats and Drinks Summer in Atlanta consists of a series of brunch dates with bottomless mimosas, day parties, and evenings on the patio. Everyone is always on the lookout for the newest or proven favorite spots to patronize. I recently ran across a Jezebel list of patios for an “open-air affair” and had to share. Some, like O-ku and Gypsy Kitchen, are favorites of mine while others I’m looking forward

Sharing: WOW Air has flights to Europe for $69!

As you may or may not know, I am a big WOW Airlines fan. I flew with them when I went to Iceland and I will be flying with them in a couple of months when I head to Berlin! When I visited Iceland back in November, I did a decent amount of souvenir shopping. Christmas was coming up plus nobody else I knew had ever been there, so I tried to include as many friends and family members as I could afford. (Note: Iceland is expensive so… I couldn’t actually afford that many people… lol) But I remember being given an envelope with one of my receipts at a gift shop in Vik and

ég tala ekki íslensku (I dont speak Icelandic)… but I went anyway

I just came back from Iceland. Yes, that’s what I said, Iceland. Reykjavik, Rekjanes, the Golden Circle, Vik… and lots of places in between. Free flight comparison with Skyscanner, your flight search starts here! Everyone’s first question is always “Why Iceland?” And my response is always “Why not?” I mean, I’ve never been before, not very many people have… I found a great deal on a plane ticket so I booked it.

Labor Day in LA – ATL to LAX

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. That being said, after months of laboring and contributing to the strength and prosperity of this country, its time for a vacation! They’re projecting 500,000 people will be headed to ATL for the holiday weekend so I’m

Hello world!

In The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell talks about the central role that three personality types – Connectors, Mavens, and Salesmen – play in social epidemics. What makes someone a Connector? The first, and most obvious, criterion is that Connectors know lots of people. They are the kinds of people who know everyone… PrettysocialATL exists to connect. You don’t have to know “everyone” as long as you know PrettysocialATL. We are the connect. #prettysocialATL
